The city of Lincoln boasts a great balance between old and new. In contrast to the modern university campus, in the uphill area of the city where you will find one of the finest cathedrals in Europe, a medieval castle and an original of the 1215 Magna Carta. The city is the only place in the world where the great charter can be seen side-by-side with an original of the 1217 Charter of the Forest.
University of Lincoln graduation ceremonies will be held in the cathedral on the same week as the conference so this area will be busy and vibrant and will give you a great insight into the city and university.
All of the main conference spaces are located on the Brayford Campus, located next to the picturesque Brayford Pool marina, where restaurants including Ask Italian, Zizzi, Wagamama’s, Nandos and the Royal William Pub are just a short walk away. Lincoln high street is also only a 5-minute walk from campus, where there are shops, bars and many other places to eat during your visit.
